SHELL GASOLINE STATION STAFF ARE AMAAAAAZZZZIIINNNNGGGG!!! whoever trains them — kudos!! they have this whole spiel like… : “good day ma’am, full tank po? v-power (which is their premium unleaded fuel).” “ok ma’am, [amount] [fuel] po, safety reminders lang po. please don’t use your phone and turn off your engine po!”  ”Ma’am pa-check lang po, zero-zero (meaning the price counter on the fuel dispenser)” “Ma’am, wind shield?” “Ma’am check natin tubig at langis?” “Ma’am baka may basura kayo na gusto niyo ipatapon?” “Ma’am meron po kaming promo ngayon if mag-avail kayo ng Shell-Citi Card meron po kayong 5% rebate. Baka gusto niyo po mag-avail?” “Ma’am meron po kaming promo for every 2,500 worth of receipts at one station pwede na po kayo makakuha ng gift check from Jollibee or [this other company kinda like sodexo]” “Ma’am 500 na po. Salamat po and come again” and it’s so so cute when they say this and they look at the distance trying to remember verbatim their spiels…. lab et!!!

my dad just got an iPad for himself. This is the point I have come to realize that Mac Fanatics are people with more fun in their lives.

and my DAD is just getting to the “fun part” of his life where he can’t do anything with his money so he decides to buy “fun” stuff.

i was bored so i got stuff to make me happy.

one is

the whole collection of bob ong’s books. it was the talk of the town during high school so its about time i got around to reading it.

most definitely at awe that it was written in tagalog except for some excerpts here and thur.

it was funny though because as i was reading these books which have been here for quite sometime, i realized that the WHOLE ISSUE about the youtube video is really just because he’s a foreigner talking about 20 things he disliked about the country.

honestly, the book talks about that and way more SHIT ABOUT THE PHILIPPINES BUT THERE NEVER WAS AN ISSUE ABOUT IT WAS THERE!

realized my attention span was …. now off to the second one!

SM Baguio

a lot of people are gonna hate me for this especially since half of my friends argue against it

but when i look at it and after reading some of the articles about it IF the property that SM Baguio is expanding into is theirs then what’s all the fuss?

i read a comment in one opinion post saying something like “if there were trees in your  home’s backyard but you wanted a swimming pool then you would take the trees down right?”

so what if, you decide that you want a swimming pool in your backyard?

to make way for that, you would be cutting down the trees… then a MOB of angry people rally at your house saying “NO TO SWIMMING POOL! SAVE THE TREES!!”, what would your reaction be?

i’m guessing you’d say “this is my property!” which is, technically true.

i mean this as an IF SM did own the property wherein they are expanding into, they do have the legal rights to use it. They are even earth-balling the trees and not plain cutting it down. they even went so far as planting 50 seedlings for every tree they will be relocating just to appease the masses clamor for tree justice.

however, since SM have been issued a TEPO and have not honored it, then GO people and rally away. other than that reason, i see no other reason to protest.

if you look at it — if we protested EVERY TIME a tree, a plant or something is moved out of its place, cut or destroyed, then we wouldn’t have CBDs, or EDSA, or SLEX, or NLEX or shopping malls, or houses. we wouldn’t be urbanized at all. we wouldn’t have blackberrys, iphones or — !EGAD! TUMBLR.
